Is guilt weighing you down? Are you harboring resentment towards anyone? Are you constantly comparing your cross to others? Do you need to forgive someone? Do you need to find peace with your current situation? Are you walking in fear? During this season of Thanksgiving, it is the perfect time to let it go! I know that may sound simple, but you can do it!

Each year the President of the United States pardons a turkey. This ceremonial pardon has been a tradition for many years. As Christians, if we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, our sins are forgiven. Scripture tells us in II Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here! Christ paid it all for us! He is our scapegoat! Christ paid it all on the cross so that we don’t have to carry the weight of guilt, condemnation, feelings of inadequacy, unforgiveness, and shame. We have a pardon for our sins! According to Isaiah 53:4-5, Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

Start today by walking in your healing! Let go of anything that is causing you stress or to doubt who God made you to be. Don’t waste any more time worrying about anything that has distracted you from living up to your fullest potential. When you are distracted, you are not focused on doing your best and you’re not trusting God to do what His word has already said. Also, when you are distracted, you can’t have an attitude of gratitude; and lastly, when you are distracted, you can’t live a life of contentment.

Let it go!
