Thank you so much for joining me at the launch party for my new book, entitled Re-Imagining Contentment – Living Life From God’s Perspective that was held in Greenwood, MS. yesterday. It was amazing!!! It rained off and on but the people came out to show their support and love. I thank God for trusting me with this assignment and for showing up yesterday to calm my nerves and for allowing everyone to travel safely from near and far! It was wonderful to see so many people there and I'm grateful for the support.
Celebrating this milestone with friends, family, and fellow book lovers made the occasion even more special. Your presence and kind words meant a lot to me! I hope you enjoyed the event and had a chance to connect with other attendees. Please let me know if you have any feedback or thoughts about the book.
A special thank you to my family for their love and support. Rev. Dr. Leroy Williams, First Lady and the Jones Chapel M.B. Church family, I am so grateful for your prayers and demonstrations of support! To the beautiful, kind, and sophisticated ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Kappa Alpha Omega Chapter in Leflore County, you took “we help each other” to another level, I will never forget how special you made me feel showing up in style. My caterer, Lula Montgomery, the food was delicious. River Brownlee, my makeup artist was on point! Sharonda Jordon, you understood the assignment by adding a beautiful touch in decorating the facility, lastly to Mr. Charles, The Museum of the Mississippi Delta was the perfect location to host the event for this Mississippi Girl. Thank you all again for being a part of this exciting chapter. I'm so appreciative of your love, support, friendship, and encouragement. The next stop, the East Coast! I will follow up once the details are finalized.
The Bible tells us in I Corinthians 2:9, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. II Timothy 4:2, Preach the Good News. Be ready at all times, and tell people what they need to do. Tell them when they are wrong. Encourage them with great patience and careful teaching. II Corinthians 9:15, Thanks be to God for His inexpressible gift!
As always, thank you for your love and continued support! Join me in prayer to change hearts, to heal our land, and for the contentment and peace to handle whatever should come up! God has so much in store for each of us and because of this, we will abide in Him in 2025!
My thoughts and prayers are with the Cooke Family!
This post is in memory of my Uncle Edwin Cooke, Sr.
