Minister ReShone Moore at the Gaithersburg Book Festival!

My book has now been out for one year, and I recently completed my second East Coast book tour, May 14–17, 2026. I am deeply grateful for the interest, encouragement, and support shown along the way. The kindness, hospitality, and love I experienced were truly amazing. I am especially thankful to Ms. Freddie Bazemore for her continued love and support.

My first stop was the Gaithersburg Book Festival on Saturday, May 16, 2026. This event was a book lover’s paradise! It was a free celebration for all ages that honored the written word and its power to enrich the human experience. With hundreds of authors, food trucks, vendors, workshops, and giveaways, the festival was both vibrant and well organized. It also reflected the spirit of the Ripple Effect Campaign. Special thanks to Andriae Holt, a member of the Re-Imagining Contentment Community, for sharing this opportunity with me last year. Be sure to add it to your calendar next year!

My next stop was Peace Baptist Church on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Thank you to Reverend Michael C. Bell for the invitation to share remarks with the congregation and sign books after service. It was Nurses’ Appreciation Day, and the church took time to honor nurses for their important role in both the church and the community. My remarks encouraged everyone to get to know the nurses involved in their care and to understand the value of knowing their family’s medical history. The message was warmly received, and I was blessed by the love and encouragement I received.

The Bible reminds us that contentment, peace, and strength are found in God. In Philippians 4:11, I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances., 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Isaiah 40:31, But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Take time to learn your family’s medical history on both sides. Keep an updated list of your medications, and make sure every member of your health care team is aware of any changes. Good communication with your care team is an important part of managing your overall health. This East Coast trip also gave me the sisterly connections, encouragement, and great food my heart needed.

We must choose to live from God’s perspective, trusting that contentment is still possible even in challenging seasons. Remember, you are not alone on this journey. We will get through this season together. Thank you for your unwavering love, prayers, and support. As we stand firm in our trust in God in 2026, let us unite in prayer for transformed hearts, healing across our land, and an unshakable faith that God will guide us through every challenge we face.

Always look for the Remarkable in your life!

Min. Dr. ReShone
