As we step into 2026, uncertainty surrounds us. Laws have shifted, power structures have changed, and freedom feels fragile. The irony is that we are celebrating 250 years of independence. Yet, freedom doesn’t feel free anymore. In this season of upheaval, one truth remains: we must trust God completely.  Earlier this month, I introduced our theme for 2026: Trust God! Over the next several posts, we’ll explore what that trust looks like. Today, we begin with the first step: silencing the noise. Next, we’ll anchor our hearts in His character, embrace the contradictions, guard against distractions, and live the theme of trusting Him.

Currently, we live in a world that never stops talking. Notifications ping, headlines scream, opinions flood our screens—and in the midst of all this noise, our souls grow restless. We long for clarity, peace, and transformation, but often we search for it in the same chaos that drains us. The truth is simple yet profound: change begins in the quiet. The funny thing is, quiet can feel uncomfortable. But silence isn’t passive—it’s powerful. It’s the space where God speaks and where our hearts learn to listen.

I remember a season when life felt like a race I couldn’t win. Every day was filled with striving—chasing deadlines, validation, and the next opportunity. Yet, the more I tried, the more exhausted I felt. One morning, drained and desperate, I sat in silence. No phone. No music. Just me and God. At first, the quiet was unsettling. But then, a whisper:  Be still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10)  That moment changed everything. It wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t loud. It was a gentle reminder that peace isn’t found in doing more—it’s found in trusting the One who holds it all.

Unfortunately, external noise distracts us from hearing God and receiving what our souls need. We become consumed with the cares and worries of this world—our country, our community, and our personal struggles with finances, relationships, health, and the future. Fear forecasting keeps us stuck, amplifying anxiety and doubt. But Jesus offers a better way: Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest. (Mark 6:31)  Rest isn’t optional; it’s a spiritual necessity. When we step away from the noise, we step into His presence.  Silencing the noise is an act of trust. It’s saying: God, I believe You’re working even when I can’t see it. True change doesn’t happen by clinging tighter—it happens by surrendering deeper. Scripture reminds us: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

You are not alone on this journey! We will get through this season together. Thank you for your unwavering love and support. As we stand on trust in God in 2026, let’s unite in prayer—for hearts transformed, healing across our land, and an unshakable trust in God to guide us through every challenge.

No matter what headlines scream or circumstances bring, we choose to stand firm in faith. God’s plans for us are greater than anything we face. So in 2026, let’s silence the noise, trust Him fully, and look for the remarkable in every moment.

Always look for the Remarkable in your life!
