The Secret is Salvation!

As we approach Easter Sunday next month, I was asked during a recent Bible Study, “How are you bringing others to Christ? Are you actively talking to those you encounter about Salvation?” After class, I pondered this question and thought about the blog. I have discussed a wide range of biblical topics but have not discussed Salvation specifically. At that moment, I concluded that March is the perfect time to discuss this important topic. Salvation is the foundation of a Christ-centered lifestyle and is the secret component of pursuing a life with purpose. Simply stated, Salvation is deliverance from the penalty of sin through faith in Christ.

The Bible tells us in I Timothy 2:3-4, This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Romans 10:9, If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Titus 3:5, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Are you sharing the secret of Salvation with others? If not, start with your family, circle of close friends, and co-workers. Ask God for the discernment of who and when to initiate this important conversation. Don’t allow fear to hold you back.
