To God be the glory for an amazing year for Re-Imagining Contentment (RIC)! The year 2025 was a landmark year marked by spiritual growth, the release in March of my book entitled Re-Imagining Contentment: Living Life from God’s Perspective, and community engagement. The journey unfolded through powerful milestones that blended faith, empowerment, and connection. I am so thankful for each opportunity! Let's take a look back.
Book Launch Celebration
The official release of Re-Imagining Contentment: Living Life from God’s Perspective on March 29 in Greenwood, MS, was nothing short of extraordinary. Despite intermittent rain, supporters traveled from near and far to celebrate this milestone. The event at the Museum of the Mississippi Delta featured heartfelt prayers, elegant décor, and great food, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and joy. Special thanks were extended to family, church partners (Jones Chapel M.B. Church), and community organizations whose unwavering support made the day unforgettable.
I am especially proud of the 4 Star review received from Literary Titan, the feature on the Delta News with Candi Stone, and the support from the Trilogy Publishing Company.
Book Signings & Author Engagements
Following the launch, the message of Re-Imagining Contentment reached readers through multiple signings and tours:
Barnes & Noble Book Signing – A moment of literary connection with readers in a public setting.
Southaven Public Library Event – A deeply personal signing where the author shared transformative insights, including redefining challenges like chronic illness through faith.
East Coast Author Tour – May 2025 brought opportunities to meet readers face-to-face, fostering dialogue and inspiration. My East Coast Team did a fantastic job of coordinating a book signing event, and the Sanctuary at Kingdom Square provided an amazing opportunity for me to meet readers and sign books.
Burning Bush M.B. Church Signing – A sacred space where ministry and literature intertwined. The book and message of Re-Imagining Contentment were well received.
Speaking Engagements & Empowerment
The year also featured dynamic speaking opportunities:
Women Matter Empowerment Conference – A keynote moment affirming women’s worth and spiritual identity.
Anderson United Methodist Church hosted a Women of Virtue Conference – This event integrated scripture and strategy for empowering women.
The Kappa Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, hosted a Pop-Up Business Day in Greenwood, MS – A vibrant event where business leaders shared and explored partnership opportunities.
The Re-Imagining Contentment Book Club Meeting was a wonderful opportunity to share with the community.
The Essence of 2025
Although the year started with grief and disappointment, I learned that that is when you must hold on the tightest to God! This year was more than a series of events—it was a movement! I had times when I was unsure, but I continued to trust His word and His timing. Through every launch, signing, and speaking engagement, Re-Imagining Contentment inspired individuals and me to embrace peace, purpose, and resilience. It reminded us that true contentment is not circumstantial but rooted in faith and community. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be moved. Philippians 4:11, I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
I can’t wait to see how God will move in 2026, and I look forward to sharing this journey with each of you! Thank you all for your continued love and support!!! A special thank you to my family, the RIC Board, and to Jarin!
Always look for the Remarkable in your life!
