What an honor it was to share with my cousin, Rev. Dr. Stephen T. Cook, and my beautiful Soror and First Lady, Erma, during the Women of Virtue Conference at Anderson United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS. Thank you so much for the opportunity, and I look forward to partnering again in the future.
Day 1 of the conference featured powerful self-care workshops, and Virtue in Full Bloom: The Journey of Re-Imagining Contentment was among the highlights. I am grateful for this opportunity and humbled by the overwhelmingly positive feedback from those in attendance.
During our session, we explored how spiritual growth mirrors the life of a plant—from seed to full bloom—especially when nurtured through adversity and viewed through God’s perspective. It was amazing to witness how the Holy Spirit moved uniquely in all three sessions!
The Bible reminds us in II Peter 1:5-8: For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us continue to flourish—not by striving, but by abiding. Not by chasing outcomes, but by trusting the Gardener. And most importantly, by surrendering to His perfect will. True contentment begins when we release our plans and embrace His purpose for every season of our lives.
May your life bloom with virtue.May your heart remain rooted in love.May you always live from God’s perspective—where every seed matters, every season has purpose, and every bloom brings glory to Him.
Thank you for your love and continued support! Join me in prayer—for changed hearts, healing in our land, and the contentment and peace to face whatever comes our way. God has so much in store for each of us, and because of this, we will abide in Him in 2025!
Always look for the Remarkable in your life!
