Simply Remarkable!

Today I celebrate my mother, a Remarkable gift from God! My mom is one of six girls and God uniquely designed her for me. One of the primary lessons she taught me was that I can do all things (Philippians 4:13). I believe this one lesson helped me to navigate each of the major stages of life from childhood, puberty, adulthood and into middle age. This encouragement despite her own challenges gave me the courage to compete with others, to relocate across country and to live with a determination to beat an incurable disease—because my momma told me, “I can do all things!”

To all mothers, I ask that you pass on to your children and children’s children those powerful words from Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I thank God for this Remarkable gift, a mother’s support and love!
